The Dallas or Houston office of Baker McKenzie seeks an associate attorney with three (3) to five (5) years' experience for the Litigation & Government Enforcement Practice Group, supporting its commercial litigation practice, including insurance coverage, complex business disputes, class action defense, and mass torts. The position will provide hands on, highly challenging and interesting legal assignments. The ideal candidate will have deposition and courtroom experience.
Strong academic credentials and excellent communication, analytical, and writing skills are required along with experience in case management, drafting pleadings and discovery, arguing motions, and taking and defending depositions. Prior client-facing experience and ability to interface with and manage client relationships with partners is preferred. Large law firm experience in a litigation practice and former clerkship with a federal district judge or circuit court strongly preferred.
